Digital Books To Be Sold By Google
May 4th
By the middle of the year Google plans to begin selling digital books through an online bookstore. This will put Google into the chase for the e-book market pitting them against companies like Amazon Kindle store, Barnes & Noble’s Nook e-reader store and Apple iPad’s iBookstore.
Google announced in April that it would be partnering with Taiwan’s HTC to create a tablet style computer to rival the iPad. By having its own digital bookstore Google could be in the running with the other major players.
